Introducing Platts Garages.
In March 2007, Platts Garages staged a spectacular launch for our new state-of-the-art showrooms, built alongside existing premises, in Lightwood Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The £2 million, three-storey building is one of the first of its kind in Stoke-on-Trent and the move has seen the number of employees at the site rise from 65 to 100.
Fiat vehicles are stocked on the ground floor whilst Alfa Romeo are situated on the first floor and the top level houses luxury offices. Meanwhile, new franchises Daihatsu, Proton, SSangYong, Perodua and Piaggio have moved into the existing showrooms.
A Proud History
Founded in 1938 Platts Garage, a family-run business stretching over 5 generations, has been trading in Stoke-on-Trent for over 68 years.
It became a Fiat dealer in 1946 and is now one of the oldest established in the UK.
The garage sells cars of all ages, but specialises in those under five years old. It provides commercial vehicle hire, services and maintains motor homes, and is the main supplier of ambulances in the area.
An Exciting Future
The new three-storey building is part of a five-year development programme. Over the past few years extra land has been bought to increase the area to around four acres. This has provided extra space for new developments and more scope for vehicle display. Eventually Platts hope to have between 12 to 14 franchises on the site along with a large marketing centre at its core.
The impressive new premises are well worth a visit alone, but with such a huge variety of makes and models on display throughout the site there is something for everyone to explore.
The management and staff at Platts look forward to meeting you and welcome all visitors to our new website and new showrooms. |
