Tech 9 Motorsport and Platts Abarth team up
Platts Abarth team up with Tech 9 Motorsport as they announce their entry of a multi-car team in the 2010 Trofeo Abarth 500 series. “I am pleased to confirm our first dealer team as Platts Abarth, based in Stoke-on-Trent” quotes team principal Phil Hindley. “We tested their car at Silverstone for the media day in October, and had great success. The car ran well, was very well received by the drivers, and I am looking forward to working with such a successful multi-franchise dealer” “Being involved with the Abarth series at such an early stage has given me a great buzz of excitement and anticipation of what will become such an exciting championship in the future”.

New Fiat 500 C Launched Available for test drives at Platts Garages
The Fiat 500 C, the original cabriolet version made by the Fiat Style Centre, can now be yours! Platts were pleased recently to announce the launch of the eagerly awaited Fiat 500 C, now at their showrooms in Lightwood Road, Longton, Stoke on Trent. This convertible version of the iconic 500 city car is available for test drives and visitors to our showroom will have the opportunity to experience for themselves soft-top motoring with a whole host of unique features. About the Fiat 500 C With the Fiat 500 C you get the freedom, emotions and pleasure of travelling that only an open-top car can give you, combined with Italian style, top of the category safety, the comfort of 4 comfortable seats and the spacious luggage compartment of the basic model. Feelings you can experience whenever you want because with its innovative sliding soft top, together with the stylish concept which maintains the sides of the car, the Fiat 500 C can be enjoyed in any season of the year. A real design feature, the electric soft top of the Fiat 500 C employs technical solutions of a great finish, from the glass rear windscreen to the third stop built in the soft top, and ensures a real window on the sky. Available in 3 colours - ivory, red and black – it can be combined with several bodywork colours, among them the splendid Pearl Red and the special Hot Grey typical of the sporty supercar, created ad hoc. The new 500 C has the same dimensions as the basic model – it is 355 cm long, 165 cm wide and 149 cm tall - and shares all three generous, brilliant and environmentally-friendly engines: the turbo diesel 75 HP 1.3 Multijet with a manual 5 speed gearbox and the two petrol 69 HP 1.2 and 100 HP 1.4 engines, both available with manual or robotised Dualogic gearboxes. Environmentally aware, the Fiat 500 C also has the innovative Start & Stop system, an innovative device that manages the temporary shutdown of the engine and its subsequent restarting. When the vehicle stops, by putting the car in neutral and releasing the clutch, the engine goes off; to restart it just put it in gear again. Creating and personalising the 500 C, making it unique, is easy with the new 500 C Video Configurator: just choose the right combination from the 11 differentbodywork colours matched with the 3 colours available for the soft top, the 23 new stickers, the 20 badges, the 9 types of rims, the 2 alloy wheel kits, the 18 key covers and lots of other accessories.
