The Introduction of Chrysler Jeep franchises at Platts Garage is the next step of our ongoing 10 year expansion plan. Seven years ago, business colleagues of forty years, Chairman, David Platt and Managing Director, Tony Littler, successfully opened a second showroom at their site in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. This first part of the project was followed four years ago by the launch of the first 2-storey showroom in the UK! And earlier this year by the opening of a second dealership site in Stafford. The proposed architect Designs for the new showroom will see a extensive redevelopement of our original Longton showroom. The existing building will be unrecognisable from days gone by with completely new external fascias being introduced. The changes won't stop with the exterior, the new building will see the showroom modernised and expanded from 180 Sq m to 254 Sq m, giving a new welcoming state of the art 7 vehicle showroom. Tony explained, '"Our intention has always been to develop brand centres for the Fiat Group, and we will achive this now at two sites. We are also proud that in hard economic times the developments we are introducing have led to more than 14 new job oportunities for people in the local area. Our aim is to keep striving forward and hope to expand into new areas in the future."

SsangYong is Back At approximately 15.45 BST on Wednesday, the m/v Faust - one of the world’s largest car carriers - made fast to the harbour wall at Royal Portbury Docks, Avonmouth, and shortly afterwards began to unload her cargo of SsangYong Korando cars. The future of SsangYong as a global vehicle producer was recently secured following the 70 per cent acquisition of the Korean company by Indian engineering conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra, while the brand’s return to the UK was assured thanks to new investment in the importing company, now called SsangYong Motor UK (SYMUK).
